Behind the Stone
Some things are too beautiful to throw away. Forty-five years of stone mastery — and a refusal to let extraordinary materials go to waste.
Born from a
craftsman's refusal
to waste beauty.
For 45 years, Terry has worked with some of the most extraordinary natural stone in the world — White Carrara Marble from the quarries of Italy, Black Absolute Granite, Brazilian Agate, and more. As a stone fabricator in Southern California, he has spent decades cutting, polishing, and installing these magnificent materials in some of the most prestigious homes and properties on the West Coast.
But something always bothered him. Every project left remnants — sink cutouts, edge pieces, offcuts too small for countertops but too beautiful to discard. For years, he watched truckloads of stunning marble and granite get hauled away to the landfill. Material that had traveled thousands of miles, formed over millions of years, destined for the trash.
That's where Craftsman Stoneworks was born.

Every piece we make starts as a rescued remnant — a fragment of stone that was destined to disappear. We cut it, polish it, and transform it into something you'll keep for a lifetime.
But here's what makes each piece truly unique: we source our materials from fabrication projects across Southern California. That marble business card holder on your desk? It could be a remnant from a Malibu beach house. That granite coaster under your whiskey glass? It might have once graced a Bel Air mansion. The agate display on your desk could have come from a famous athlete's home or a movie star's estate.

Standing at the source of the world's most prized marble, he brought that knowledge and reverence back to every piece he creates.
